He also pointed out that when 5G is facing consumer applications, the downstream capacity of TDD is higher than the upstream capacity, and some enterprise applications have opposite demands, which results in mutual interference between different upstream and downstream configured channels of the carrier within the same carrier frequency, and measures such as beam arrangement should be adopted to deal with it.

 

The other is that large enterprises can apply for a special frequency to build their own 5G private network. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has designated a special band for 5G industrial wireless. Large enterprises can build their own base stations, UPF and core network control surface, etc., realizing flexible and on-demand configuration of TDD upstream and downstream time slots and independent management of network security. Moreover, the private network can still be maintained by operators.

 

In the industrial Internet scenario, the uplink uses the authorized frequency band and the downlink uses the unauthorized frequency band. Operators can also adopt LAA mode to solve the shortage of authorized frequency band spectrum resources in the current 5G system.

Independent license-free frequency band mode (SA) means that both upstream and downstream signaling and data use license-free frequency spectrum. Due to limited transmission power, it is not suitable for large-area networking. It is suitable for vertical industry enterprises to build private networks in parks, especially for indoor networks with less interference. In addition, in 5GHz and 6GHz license-free frequency bands, 5G NR-U SA mode will compete with WiFi6/WiFi7, with more interference restrictions. The millimeter wave band is suitable for indoor real-time cloud applications and outdoor hot spots because of its extremely high capacity, low predictive delay and high precision positioning ability.
