What is a Inkjet Printing Machine
An inkjet printer is a computer peripheral that produces hard copies of a text document or photo by spraying droplets of ink onto paper. A typical inkjet printer can produce color printing copies with a resolution of 1200 x 1440 dpi. These printers are most common in homes and small offices, though many commercial printing companies use industrial inkjet printers to produce high-quality brochures, flyers, and other pieces.
Advantages of Inkjet Printing Machin
Simplified, More Efficient Workflows
Modern inkjet printing technology with variable data, process color and opaque white ink capable printers are far less difficult to use than older, more complicated presses. With very little set up time and rare mid-production adjustments, jobs can be run unattended and be completed within much shorter timeframes.
On-Demand Possibilities
With an industrial printer on site, you’re able to turn around finished products in a very short time frame. This also gives you the ability to take unique customer requests, which can be a major differentiator between you and your competition. You can also quickly create seasonal and timely pieces, like if a local high school wins a big baseball game or an upcoming event needs last-minute banners printed.
High-Quality, Large-Volume Printing
You don’t always know what you’ll be getting if you send your products off site for printing or purchase them preprinted. Outsourcing companies may claim to have “cutting edge” equipment, when in reality they are using antiquated systems that are not suitable for your application, resulting in low-quality prints.
Little to No Waiting Periods
The wait time to receive your final product is seemingly nonexistent if you own your own inkjet printer. Outsourcing can have a long turnaround since items need to be shipped, printed and then shipped back to you. The delivery dates are also never a guarantee since there could be production issues, shipping delays or both.
Types of Inkjet Printing Machine
On-Demand Type
With this method, only the amount of ink particles necessary for printing are discharged. The ink nozzles are arranged vertically within the printer. Ink particles are instantaneously discharged from the nozzle and are sprayed on the target. Piezo, thermal, and valve are the methods used to apply pressure to the ink particles and discharge them.
Continuous Type
In this method, ink particles are continuously discharged from the nozzle. The ink particles are charge with electrostatic, and deflecting electrodes are used to deflect the ink particles so that they are spray on the printing surface. Ink particles that are not deflected are collected, returned to the ink tank, and reused. Even when printing is not being performed, ink is continuously discharged at all times, which is why they are called continuous-type printers. This is the most commonly used method among industrial inkjet printers.

Printing Photos
Inkjet printers are the best choice for printing photos, as they can produce high-quality images with smooth gradients and rich colors.
Printing Documents
Inkjet printers can also be used to print documents, such as letters, reports, and presentations. However, they are not as fast as laser printers for printing text-only documents.
Printing Graphics
Inkjet printers can be used to print on a variety of paper types, including glossy, matte, and photo paper.
Working Principle of Inkjet Printing Machine
1.The driving principle of an inkjet printer is to convert digital files into physical copies. This conversion is possible thanks to specialised software called a driver.
2.The driver converts the digital text or photo file into a language which is understandable by the printer.
3.This information is then transferred to the print head which is a component which houses the ink cartridges.
4.The print head features thousands of tiny holes. The ink from the cartridge reservoirs is then forced under pressure through the holes to create high volumes of individual ink droplets.
5.The print head moves rapidly across the page distributing the minuscule ink droplets onto the page to create the image.
6.With inkjet printers featuring automatic double-sided printing capabilities, the page is then inverted to allow for printing on the opposite side.
7.This reversal of the page is achieved using a duplex unit. The duplexer unit employs stepper motors and rollers to draw the page through a pathway which flips the paper to the opposite side to allow the print head access to the reverse side.
8.Once the page is completed, the paper needs to be ejected. Usually, the pages are collected into an expandable paper output tray.
9.This process is repeated until the document has finished printing, with the most advanced inkjet models printing more than 40 pages a minute.
Maintenance Tips for Inkjet Printing Machine
Step 1: Remove the Ink Cartridges and Switch off the Machine: In order to remove ink cartridges from an inkjet printer, the cartridge housing often needs to be positioned in the centre of the stabiliser bar. On most printers, if you open the front of the machine, the housing will often reposition itself automatically - allowing you to extract the cartridges. Once you're done this, switch the printer off at the mains.
Step 2: Clean the Cartridges: Once you're removed the cartridges from the printer, you'll probably find they're clogged with excess ink around the print head. To remove this, take a square of paper towel, spray with window cleaner, and gently wipe the cartridge, taking care to remove any and all excess ink. When you're happy all ink has been removed, set to one side on another sheet of paper towel.
Step 3: Clean the Ribbon : The ribbon is an integral component of the inkjet printer, and it should be cleaned regularly to ensure optimum functionality. Using a square of paper towel soaked in window cleaner, gently wipe any ink or debris from the ribbon. Be sure to do this gently - inkjet ribbons are notoriously fragile, and costly to repair or replace should any damage occur.
Step 4: Clean the Cartridge Housing: Given that the cartridge housing holds the ink cartridges in place, naturally it is prone to accumulating dirt and grime. Using a paper towel (as well as cotton swab for those hard to reach areas), wipe the cartridge housing with window cleaner to remove ink, grime and debris.
Step 5: Oil the Stabiliser Bar: Running directly through the centre of the printer, the stabiliser bar allows the ink cartridges to travel back and forth across the page, distributing ink where appropriate. To ensure complete functionality and smooth operation, it's important to oil the stabiliser bar regularly. To do so, decant a couple of drops of printer oil onto the bar, before manually moving the cartridge housing a long the bar to spread the oil evenly.
Step 6: Re-Insert the Cartridges: Once you're happy that all visible dust, dirt and grime has been removed from your printer, switch it back on at the mains and re-insert the cartridges. Then, run any cartridge realignment checks as recommend by the manufacturer - and you're done.

Ultimate FAQ Guide to Inkjet Printing Machine
Q: What is the difference between inkjet vs. laser printers?
An inkjet printer sprays liquid ink onto paper, while a laser printer uses toner, which is a dry toner powder that is transferred to paper using heat and pressure. Laser toner cartridges for laser printers usually last longer and cost more than ink cartridges for inkjet printers.
Laser printers generally costs more than inkjet printers, but they also have a faster print speed and usually have a longer lifespan. Inkjet printers are better for printing photos and color documents, while laser printers are better suited for printing text-based documents.
Ultimately, the printer you choose will depend on both your budget, printing process and printing needs.
Q: Why do you need a digital inkjet printer?

Q: What are the criteria when choosing an inkjet system?
Inkjet Coding Size: Inkjet printers are capable of producing various font heights and numbers of printed rows in a single operation, depending on the space available for printed text. Production Speed: Standard or high-speed systems are available, depending on how many products or how much packaging (stationary or moving) must be marked per minute.
Print Volumes and Operating Time: Systems with large ink reservoirs reduce the frequency of cartridge exchange and the impact this will have on overall system efficiency. Printers are also available for non-stop production, enabling ink top-up without stopping operation. Printhead Mounting Position: Marking is basically possible from top, bottom or sides. The construction may, however, not allow all printing systems to perform equally well in all positions.
Ambient Conditions: Rough environments are often found in industry, subjecting inkjet printers to dust, moisture, vibration or strong temperature fluctuations. In addition to a robust design, inkjet printers may therefore require a specific IP protection class or special protection systems.
