Vision for Industry 4.0
The manufacturing industry of the future will widely adopt more sensitive artificial intelligence and intelligent automation technology, making the manufacturing process more rapid and convenient. Three years of progress
When manufacturers embarked on the Industry 4.0 initiative, they mostly knew it would be a multi-year exercise. We can see that the change process of most enterprises is smooth, and the industry has developed significantly. Many of the companies surveyed have made great progress in Industry 4.0 and are already reaping the benefits.
Why manufacturing data management?
Smart Investing: Companies are finding that to advance and gain an edge in Industry 4.0, they must master manufacturing data management. From data to information, intelligence and actionable insights, all aspects of data management are involved. Ideally, this is an integrated approach that supports production operations and the business.
Broad business advantages: We want to understand what advantages enterprises gain or expect to gain from better and more unified manufacturing data management. The question is: "What advantages do you think or expect to gain from better, more unified factory data management, which provides OT and IT data in contextual data scenarios for immediate analysis and action patterns, or what advantages do you expect to gain from this?" Respondents can select all applicable options. Respondents' choices were fragmented, with only two being selected by more than half of the respondents: improving product quality and responding to anomalies faster and more reliably.
The Foundation of AI and Analytics: Anyone who has tried an AI or advanced analytics project knows that sound data management is a prerequisite. Problems with any aspect of manufacturing data management can affect the analysis results and the quality of the AI's work. The results of the analysis can be used to gain insight into any of the areas of improvement listed.
Why move to artificial intelligence?
This is the age of artificial intelligence. Just as human intelligence can solve many problems, so can artificial intelligence. What are the benefits of using advanced analytics such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), predictive analytics or prescriptive analytics in the factory? (List all processes, areas, or disciplines).
Key words Respondents believe that the most important advantages revolve around production: quality, productivity, efficiency, yield, maintenance, safety, cost and control. They also mentioned error prevention, speed and efficiency. In addition, they cited strengths across business areas such as management, training, supply chain, revenue, engineering change, marketing, fraud detection, and customer service.
